Anointing of the Sick

Someone I love is sick or dying

The Anointing of the Sick is administered to Catholics to bring spiritual and even physical strength during an illness, especially to those near death. It is best not to wait until someone is near death, but to call as soon as they are seriously ill.

The sacrament can also be received before a surgery or medical procedure, or for those with serious mental illness.

Would you or your loved one like to receive the Sacrament of Anointing?
To schedule an appointment for the sacrament, please call the parish office where you are registered.

In case of an emergency concerning death or dying outside of normal business hours,
please call (360)228-7006 (Port Orchard or Belfair) or (253) 549-1954 (Gig Harbor)

If you are sick or homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist, or if you are not Catholic, but would like to speak with someone or have someone pray with you, please use the same numbers above.

“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the presbyters of the Church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
