Growing In Faith

"Do not be afraid to be holy! Have the courage and humility to present yourselves to the world determined to be holy, since full, true freedom is born from holiness."
St. Pope John Paul II, World Youth Day, Santiago, Spain, 1989

Ready to follow Jesus in a deeper way?

Being a disciple isn’t just a title—it’s a life-changing journey. It means choosing to walk with Jesus every day, learning from Him like a devoted student, trusting Him completely, and letting His example shape how we live. In our Catholic faith, this isn’t about simply agreeing with His teachings or showing up at Mass occasionally. It’s an adventure—a wholehearted commitment to grow closer to Him and let His love transform us from the inside out.

Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Following Him truly changes everything. And the Church gives us powerful ways to start strong:

  • Baptism welcomes us into God’s family.
  • Confirmation fills us with the Holy Spirit’s courage and strength.
  • Reconciliation reconciles us with God and the Church.
  • The Eucharist—Holy Communion—brings us face-to-face with Jesus Himself.

These sacraments aren’t just rituals; they’re encounters with God that give us real grace to live boldly, share our faith, and let the Holy Spirit guide every choice. When we embrace them, we share in Jesus’ own life and become living witnesses of His love—in our words, actions, and relationships.

As Pope John Paul II reminded us, the Eucharist is the heart of it all. It draws us into the mystery of Jesus’ death and resurrection and gives us the strength to keep following Him—no matter what.

So, what’s your next step?
Don’t just admire Jesus from a distance—follow Him. Lean into the sacraments. Let Him transform your life. Engage in faith formation programs and then, go share His love with the world.
