PREPARES offers support and activities for families from pregnancy to their child’s fifth birthday. Our programs are free of charge and open to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
PREPARES meets on Mondays from 11:00AM - 12:00PM.
The Knights of Columbus empowers Catholic men to live their faith and serve their family, parish, community and country.
Founded by Blessed Michael McGivney in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is the premier lay Catholic men’s organization. Guided by the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, we build lifelong relationships with our members and families. We are multigenerational and international. We offer formation, mutual aid and financial security to members through our charity, products and outreach. We aspire to invite every Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus and to extend our charitable reach as widely as possible.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is the largest social assistance organization in the world, (www.svdpusa.org). It is an international, nonprofit Catholic lay organization in 150+ countries worldwide.
Our St. Gabriel Conference have assisted thousands of individuals in need with utilities, transportation, housing (rent & repairs) food, clothing and “In-Kind” Services with the provided donations.
Benedict House is a Men's Shelter located in Bremerton. Twice a year our church, supports this center with meals for their residents. Volunteers a pick a date, prepare meals, and deliver them to the shelter.
South Kitsap Family Kitchen is located at First Lutheran Community Church at 2483 Mitchel Rd., Port Orchard.
St. Gabriel Church makes and serves meals at the South Kitsap Family Kitchen on the last Monday of each month. This free meal is served at 5PM.
Homebound ministers bring the Church to the homebound by sharing the Word of God from the Sunday liturgy, and the Eucharist, as well manifesting faith and charity toward those who cannot be present at Sunday Mass.
The Winter Bazaar is held each year on the first weekend in November. Over the years, this fantastic group has worked year-round stitching, crafting, collecting, and preparing for the following year's bazaar.
Proceeds have benefited programs like; Coats for Kids, Backpacks for Kids, SK Family Kitchen, St. Gabe's Holiday Food Box Program, St. Vincent de Paul and many more.
The St. Anthony Guild of St. Gabriel Church prays for family members who have drifted away from the Church and the Sacraments, and also prays by name for the sick and the departed.
The Guild supports our Youth Ministries and Seminarians, prepares meals twice each year for the Benedict House shelter, and hosts an annual bake sale.
The Solo Group is a social organization for individuals who are single, widowed, divorced, or otherwise living independently and who value friendship and social connection. We are a group focused on building community.
Our purpose is to provide a welcoming environment where members can connect, socialize, and enjoy activities together. Our focus is simply on friendship and fun.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Prayer Group meets to pray each Thursday at 10:00 AM in the St. Gabriel Chapel.
This group has a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother.
In the Paraclete Prayer Group, each intention is received with respect, read aloud by a member, and prayed over by the group. Together, we ask the Holy Spirit to grant healing, peace, and God’s comfort for those in need.
Our group meets each Monday at 12:30 PM in the St. Gabriel Chapel.
The Rosary Makers ministry makes and sends rosaries to those in need. Join them in making the Holy Rosary available to people throughout the country and the world.
Many of the Rosaries they make are sent to areas within the United States for bundling and forwarding to missions overseas, or distributed to prisons, hospitals or nursing homes in our country. Some of the rosaries have gone Africa, Mexico, Canada, and India. These gifts of the Rosary have been received with great thanks from the missions who received them.
